A girl named Neetu lived with her family in Agra, UP. She had seven siblings. Neetu was the third daughter. Neetu was an educated girl and had done MBA. When Neetu completed her college studies, she was married into a good family. After marriage, she gave birth to a daughter. When her daughter was one year old, a boil appeared on Neetu’s neck. Her husband took her to a doctor. After examining her, the doctor told her that it was throat cancer and advised her to undergo surgery and gave her some medicines. The boil kept on growing. The medicines were also not having any effect on it. After some time, Neetu came to her parents, where a baba had come to her house. When he saw her neck, he said, “This is a bisbil, not a boil, show it to some knowledgeable baba.” Her parents did not believe all these things, but still they went to show her to a baba. The baba told that a snake from her previous life lives with her, he loves her a lot and wants to take her with him. When her family members did not believe him, Baba called the snake with his mantras. When he asked the snake, why are you after her now that she is married and has a daughter? The snake said that earlier she was a female snake and we loved each other very much. Now I have come to take her with me. After that, there was a lot of debate between Baba and the snake and Baba took a promise from the snake to release Neetu. After some time, the snake agreed to release her but he also put a condition. He said that Neetu and her husband will have to light a lamp in my name for 16 Tuesdays. Neetu and her husband agreed to his words and as per the promise, they started lighting a lamp every Tuesday. After some time, her boil started healing. But her boil did not heal completely. Neetu once again went to that Baba. Baba called the snake again and asked him the reason. The snake told that these people light a lamp but they light the same old lamp, if they light a new lamp every time, then I will go away. Neetu took his word and now she started lighting a new lamp. Gradually his boil disappeared without any medicine. Now he is very happy with his family.
